Cabin Crew
Our cabin crew members are the face of our business in the air. It's not an easy task, but it is certainly a rewarding one. We're always on the lookout for energetic people who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have an innate awareness of safety and potential hazards. If you think you have what it takes, read on to find out how to apply in Australia and New Zealand.
Australia
Our domestic cabin crew take off in their careers starting with our third-party contracting company, Altara, who we've worked with since 2010. Altara employs domestic cabin crew members based in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Coolangatta/Brisbane and Cairns.
Apply for Australian cabin crew positions directly through Altara.
New Zealand
Our New Zealand cabin crew is based in Auckland and Christchurch. All new employees start on a permanent basis, and are trained on either our regional or our trans-Tasman operation, travelling to a wide variety of destinations in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
If you are seeking a position based in Auckland or Christchurch, please set up a job alert and we'll let you know when new opportunities become available.
Training
If you're a successful applicant, you'll take part in our comprehensive training program, conducted at various ground school locations in Australia or New Zealand.
The demanding program covers a variety of topics including customer service, aircraft and personal safety, medical aviation and emergency procedures. It's intensive, but it's delivered in a fun and informative way by experienced trainers in a group environment with your new colleagues. It will ensure that you're confident and ready to take to the skies.
If you need to relocate to your new base, you must secure your accommodation before you start training. Jetstar is not able to assist with relocation or accommodation costs. However, if your training ground school is not in your base location, Jetstar will cover the cost of flights and accommodation associated with your training.
Eligibility and selection
If you're ready for an exciting new life hitting the skies as a member of Jetstar's cabin crew, we'd love to hear from you.
To be considered, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
- Experienced in customer services and comfortable selling face-to-face
