Our adventure in Engineering: Our Engineers share their career journey

In April 2025, it has been exactly four years since I joined Jetstar Japan and was assigned to the Maintenance Division.

After one year of on-site experience after joining the company, I am currently working in the Aircraft Maintenance Consignment Management Department, managing the budget and performance of maintenance work at overseas contractors, coordinating contracts with contractors, supporting those who travel to the site, and preparing documents.

JA26LR completed C maintenance at Evergreen Aviation Technologies (EGAT) in Taipei for about 10 days from the end of March I went to the site as a member of the receiving team.

C maintenance is a maintenance work that collectively performs necessary inspections at intervals determined by the flight time, number of takeoffs and landings, the number of years since manufacturing, etc., and is basically carried out about every two years. Since the JA26LR is still new, C maintenance was completed in about 20 days, but since the number of parts that need to be maintained increases for equipment that has been manufactured for many years, it takes 50 to 90It can also take days. The JA01JJ and JA02JJ have already completed their seventh C maintenance, and I feel the long history we have had with Jetstar Japan.

We communicate with EGAT employees in English, but some of them speak Japanese fluently, so we can communicate more smoothly. I felt that the managers, mechanics, and sales representatives at the site were all sincere in their work. We were also very pleased that they held a ceremony to celebrate the successful completion of our first A321LR C service.

This time, we were able to witness an important milestone for the A321LR. I would like to continue to gain a wide range of experience while learning from my seniors, and actively take on new challenges.

We’re Jetstar. Let’s Takeoff Together.
