Yumiko’s experience as a Project Coordinator on our Structural Reform Team
It’s been over ten months since I was assigned to the Structural Reform Team (SRT). My main responsibilities include drafting performance reports for shareholders, compiling KPIs and company scorecards, checking the progress of cross-organizational projects and planning events.
I prepare a draft performance report every month, which is a time-consuming task as I’m dealing with important and detailed data. I also compile KPIs and scorecards on a monthly basis and share them with JLT members, while quarterly scorecards are shared at town halls.
Rotation Two: Operational Strategy and Cost Transformation
In May, we held an event to celebrate our 50 millionth customer and I organized a special message board to display at the gate area. The board displayed notes of gratitude for our customers from team members in the office and on the front line at Narita Airport, Kansai Airport Branch and Chubu Airport base. Many customers stopped to look at the board, which made me realize Jetstar’s value, One Team. Volunteers from various departments got together to make a star shape with orange fans. Although it was our first attempt and we didn’t have much time to practice, I was very happy when we were able to make a beautiful star shape on the side of the aircraft.
I am also in charge of SDGs-related activities and I continue to be actively involved in environment-related activities, including StarTrees.
This is my first time working in the airline industry. Last year, I was able to experience the Ground Operations work by occasionally assisting the Narita Branch CBO operations. The time I spent with frontline members, whom I don’t usually have the opportunity to speak to, was very valuable to me. I’ll soon be entering my third year with the company, and I hope to continue learning more about the industry and leveraging this knowledge in my work.
